The Continuation of the Great Week

I know it took time before I could meet up with her in KFC, but I always knew that it was worth it. I got to meet two people close to her. One, is her cousin, the closest person she had for an older sister. And the other, one of her closest friends from high school. I must say, just by the way they would laugh, they really are cousins.

I slowly get to see her inner circle, the circle she told me then was incompatible with me. I know I am working my way slowly, but hey, I got the time to meet every single one of them. I’ll get there.

After Bette submitted her application to Bukas Palad, we went our separate ways. It started raining and I lent her my jacket. I must say, she looked good in it as we walked to the train station.

I kept insisting that we change our plans, that we eat at an earlier time, that we would go somewhere else instead of going to Greenhills for several reasons.  One, it was getting late, and two, what I needed to see was very trivial.

Little did I know that she was scheming.

She kept looking at her phone and kept on telling me that it’s ok or it was her mom telling her to go home. The very trusting me just believed her blindly and I just went on with it.

And we went to the place. Charlie’s. Home of one of the best burgers that I ever tasted.

We ordered.

We waited.

All of a sudden, a dark man in white came.

Un-freakin’-believable. She actually got my friend to come and have dinner with us. Now this is why she was upset when I commented about a surprise party last Wednesday. She thought that I actually knew about this.

The burgers from heaven all of a sudden tasted even better since I was so satisfied. Either that, or maybe because she gave me half (relationship gut, here I come).

My day with her ended with me walking her to the station. And I could not thank her enough for the things that she did. She may see it as something very small since there were still hitches in the plan. Yes, there were. But the fact still remains, she gave me a small birthday celebration with my friends.

Thank you Mica for the week. The other birthdays should be ready because this will be quite difficult to match.

Also, thank you for the wonderful acting of my friend, Mr. Andre Co for covering it up, and of course, you too Mica. I really did not see this one coming.
